Earnhardt Outdoors™ Launches Campaign with Edison Nation

CHARLOTTE, NC – (July 8, 2013) – Earnhardt Outdoors, a lifestyle brand founded by racing royal family, the Earnhardts, celebrates the traditions and values of the outdoor lifestyle. Beginning today, Earnhardt Outdoors is teaming up with Edison Nation to kick off a two-month online search for adventurous product innovations to help bring families together in the outdoors.

The Earnhardt family has long had three loves: NASCAR, the outdoors, and family. Through their “Live Product Search” hosted on, they want to find innovative outdoor products to spread their love of the wilderness to the rest of the world. This search is open to any inventor, sportsman and consumer with product ideas and concepts that might be a fit for the Earnhardt Outdoors brand.

“A family has an obligation to each generation to uphold the legacy of our forefathers,” says Kerry Earnhardt. “I’m proud of this new venture with Kelley and Dale, and look forward to building the Earnhardt Outdoors brand upon the foundation of our own family’s outdoor traditions.”

Edison Nation works with everyday people and inventors to turn their ideas into products sold by major retailers. The Edison Nation team will review all submissions and present the best ones to Kerry, Kelley and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. with the intent of turning them into viable products that can be brought to the market.

How to submit to the Earnhardt Outdoors search:

  • Become an Edison Nation member - It is free to join the Edison Nation online community of inventors and entrepreneurs
  • Complete the submission form – Visit to submit your idea. Patents or patent-pending status is not required. We ask for well-written and explained ideas. It’s $25 to submit each idea, which covers a portion of the cost to review all ideas submitted, and each idea is kept safe within our platform
  • The deadline to submit ideas is Monday, August 26, at 11:59 p.m. (PST)
  •  Follow your idea’s progress – Visit your Edison Nation member dashboard for updates on our 8-stage review process
  • Final presentation – Edison Nation will vet all ideas submitted against the criteria found in the Earnhardt Outdoors search description, and will present the leading concepts to the Earnhardt family following the close of the search
  • Selections – The Earnhardt family can choose as many product ideas as they like to develop and bring to market under their brand
